Next Gen & Elevate programs

It's clear that the good thing of elevate is that you can use the card in the meantime in their lower versions, while in the next gen format, the long gap between the grind start and the time we can actually get the cards limits the amount of playtime with them a lot in comparison.

As long as the next-gen gold pull rate remains reasonable, I don't mind getting silver dupes, as we can quicksell them or throw them to complete the daily objectives in the exchange set. In the end, the next gen format isn't gonna take any 'level-up coins' from us, so they may be a friendlier 84 at the end of the grind.

I hope they keep both formats in the future.

I read someone's post from yesterday on muthead that 82 to 83 OVR is 125,000 coins. Can anyone confirm or deny? I have both at 82 with the new revised lower coin requirements of course but next is 83 of course...

I sure hope not. I'm in the same boat. I got excited when I saw it was "only" 6000TP to get to 83. I thought it had to be a mistake, then I remembered the one before was 4600 lmao. The push to 4600 was tough lol. Wouldn't be so bad if I could choose which player token it spits out. Instead, 6000 TP for each of them means I will have to complete the event at least 80-90 times if not more depending on elite drops.

It was rough when I had Russ 100 from 82 and Blake was already at 82 and it just kept spitting out more and more Blake coins.

Super. Yes it did seem like a glitch period training cost but it was posted yesterday which concerned me.

On another note, good news on the reimbursement of coins for those training elevate cards during the glitch! (and for Embiid too)

Deny...It?s 1k coins more than 82 (8k maybe?).

I suspect the frustration with Elevate will kick in once we?ve maxed one player and start getting dupes.

I?ve started using the 82 OVR Westbrook and he?s dope. I?ve heard his 85 OVR is the best pg in the game right now so I?m looking forward to leveling him up further.

Same. I've got Westbrook levelled up to 82 and he plays great.. Stat's are quite misleading ....... as usual.

Need to agree with you guys. I don't play much 5v5 these days to have solid opinion about any card but I have Westbrook at 83 and I moved him today to the starting lineup (first time, he was on the bench until became 83) to play my SD games for daily ob. and he was awesome on manual. I guess hidden stats for him and Griffin are really good (probably that's why main stats for them look much better than secondary stats).

It seems like their plan at the moment is to replace the existing cards with completely new ones after 4-6 weeks so you better stay on top of your grinding if you want these cards.

Oh yeah I added that to your upcoming content thread but forgot about this one which would have been better to put it on lol

Game likes to troll sometimes lol. Needed just one gold token to finally have all 30 golds for each. Seems like I have better luck when I play the event back to back at least 3-4 times. I decide to play it 5 times for "extra luck." First token is a gold, second token is a gold, third token is a gold, fourth is a silver and the fifth token is a gold LOL. I had gotten one gold ALLLL day and then get 4/5 lol. Just trolliinnnnggg me.

Similar thing in Elevate. Blake gets a single gold token away from next level (5900). Russ was at like 3900. I expected the game to probably balance it out some and give a bunch of Russ and only a few Blake but I got Russ all the way to the next level and Blake is still stuck at 5900 LOL. At one point, I had gotten 3 elite tokens in a 4 token span all for Russ, of course.

Can anyone confirm how much TP is required for 85? I see now that 84 requires 8K. I expect 85 to require 10, but you just never know lol

Yeah it's 10k tp to get to 85. I managed to max out Griffin around the same time I got Westbrook to 84, such was the discrepancy in tokens for me.

It's 10k for 85 according to a leaguemate

Okedoke.

These cards seemed underrated at first, but I swapped in both Russ and Blake to start over my 80 Lillard and 81 Pau and I think they definitely perform better, for me at least. Russ might be the 2nd best rebounder at PG behind only Simmons. His dribbling leaves much to be desired, but I lucked out and pulled elite Stotts in a coach pack. Was gonna sell him because I'd much rather have a different boost than dribbling, but it helps Russ's main weakness.

I've always had a hard time going against both player's AI.

Is there any info on whether we can use the current Next Gen collectibles (silver/gold/elite) in the next batch of Next Gen players?

If they're anything like the ones we have currently, the sets will require 15 random silver and gold tokens along with 15 gold and 20 elite unique tokens for that card only.

I reckon level up the Elevate cards as much as possible now as the stamina demands of the tip off campaign on Tuesday mean that it?ll take a long time to level them after that. Also probably just do Next Gen for the first win elite token?
