Showdown getting a lot more...showdowny-er!

Divisions rebalanced - down from 13 to only 5 (Rookie, Pro, All-Star, Superstar, Legend)
Fan requirements for divisions lowered, only takes 400k fans now to get to Legend
You'll now get rep and fans from winning your quarter, so even if you lose the game, you'll get more than a fan loss. We took the win rewards and just balanced it now across quarter win and game win, 25% goes to quarter win, 75% to game win
Now that it is much easier to get to legend, the real battle takes place for top 10k placement (currently still restricted to level division, but might change based off of metrics)
There are 5 top placement divisions, 10k, 5k, 2.5k, 1000 and top 100
Showdown now will have 5 new masters
De'Aaron Fox
Zach Levine
Joe Ingles
Bill Laimbeer
Brian Scalabrine (WHITE MAMBA HYPE)
They are attained from set items obtained through division up, placement, exchange sets, rep packs and store packs...

Brian dropped a little more info about the new SD. It will start from next Monday but the 5 Masters will be available from Saturday with cash/rep packs in the store. There will also be an elite exchange set for 80-85 OVR players to get tokens for the masters.

The plan at this stage is to drop a new master each month and increase the cap on the existing masters by + 2

They have eliminated some of the tiers and widened the bands instead. And from now on, you'll gain fans for winning a quarter even if you lose the match.

On topic though - I've completely given up on SD this season thus far. Hopefully the changes coming will reinvigorate the mode.

Unfortunately Scalabrine is one of them they really need to stop making joke cards having college cards is one think but making high overall cards of players that were trash their entire career is ridiculous as a Bulls fan I despise the fact that they always use pics of him in a Bulls jersey for memes he hardly played for a reason

Zach LaVine is apparently one of the masters meaning 2 of the 5 masters could be Bulls with LaVine and Scalabrine (smfh) as 2 of the masters

Finally! Now I can start playing showdown again. I've been playing the first 2 wins and that's it since the beginning as it was just a waste of time and stamina. I can't say that now with upgradeable masters and better uses of rep.
