They mean the New Year's card is a SG plus a SG Penny card isn't abnormal at all because he played PG, SG, and SF he also got SG cards in the past

Well he played SG as his primary position for twice as long as he played PG during his last couple years in Orlando and his entire time in Phoenix so that is actually considered his true position it's just that most people see him as peak Penny which was in the mid-late 90s when he played PG before the season of his 1st major injury which also was the 1st season he played SG primarily
94 Pippen only having 73 speed has to be a mistake I saw his 83 with 64 speed but expected at least a 20 point increase for the 94 they have to fix this a 94 overall SF getting 73 speed can not be something they planned but we'll probably have to wait a couple days as they're still closed and the game is still put on autopilot

It may be one of those players with a very good AI that makes EA compensate by lowering some stats

Pippen and Moses look pretty disappointing.
Didnt think they would release another PG but now I can replace my Impact Rose after his ovr decreases.

Well master Curry had a low 3pt rating and that was fixed sure he'll have good AI but 92 Kawhi blows him out of the water at almost everything despite being 2 overall less and not being a master
