Showdown Match Stuck at "Waiting for Opponent" Screen

So I finished a Showdown match and after the time limit for my opponent expired the match is stuck at the "waiting for opponent screen". No screen popped up with the final score and rewards like it normally does. The screen is just stuck at the score from my part of the match with the words "Waiting for Opponent". Anyone know how to fix this?

maybe try force closing it
