ARENA MODE BETA UPDATE - SEASON 4

Over the past few months, we’ve seen hundreds of thousands of you engage in real-time against other players across the world in our Arena PVP beta. You’ve won millions of tournaments, you’ve sent tens of millions of Embiid and good game emojis, and you’ve won your fair share of tokens and rewards.

Seeing the positive response, we’ve been hard at work making this a more integral part of the NBA LIVE mobile experience. Over the course of this summer, we released several updates to the mode, including the Premium Tournament and the Battleground Tournament. We have been excited by the response and wanted to thank the thousands of you that took the time to respond to our surveys and leave us feedback across social.

Nothing too insightful, but still good on them for releasing this info.

Free Billups is nice. I wouldn't want to be in the place of someone who's near the 300pt mark and sees that everyone gets it now 😅

Is anyone keeping battleground/premium tickets or will you just collect the 15k rep?

Do you mean collect the rep by playing or is there another way?

If you open a tournament and immediately give up without playing any match you get the 0 wins prize (15000 rep for a premium tournament for example). so if you have 2 tickets, that's 30k rep you can collect in seconds. I've done that for the premium tickets i had, and a share of the batteground tickets, but i've hit some daily limit in BG that asks for 2tickets/tournament so i've stopped that 'conversion' for now.

There are players out there with 104 OVE or higher only players in their lineup. I've been winning like 3-4 BG a day, like... 5 wins per entry and all i got just 87 Ingles or Ingram 🤣. Since I played this, I never even earned Kuzma (grab one from AH). So rewarding 🤣🤣🤣

I wonder how are those people getting 104+ ovr? Let alone for all positions. 😐.

What I learned from the pack in store which cost in game cash is that, the opportunity of getting 102ovr+ player just similar if we earn that pack by winning tourney.

Saying that basically the pack in store is the same to the pack we get by winning 5 games. Any of you here pull high OVR players?? I heard some guys pulled 103 Butler 🤣

I guess we were not the lucky ones, but there were enough 100+ cards in the AH at some point to build a *supermax* team that way.

After the pack odds increased i pulled a pack with 4 elites, but I didn't pull anything 100+ either. and after playing a couple of successful tournaments with butler (from the AH) i picked a billups from the AH as well, but after that point i was hitting the wall at 4 wins repeatedly (in 3 or 4 tourneys) so i just sold them back while they were still as valuable.

So this explains the phenomenon that T TomH was describing about people quitting at the beginning of a match for no rhyme or reason.

and I hope they fix it. It’s one thing to auto play SD for campaign points. Another entirely to enter an event versus a real person with every intention to quit after The tip. Frankly it’s selfish af. In other words it’s one telling a game f### you I’ve found an easy way to get points, another thing to tell a person f### you I’m using you for easy points. Maybe I’m old fashioned or something. I’m certainly old.

But by playing two tourneys per day, and winning each tourney I’m over 9mil rep points now which will convert to a lot of this new Dust currency, whatever that is for. I’ve played very little SD the last month. Basically just enough to get to
Legend. It’s too frustrating with ai shooing 100% 3s, getting almost every blocked shot or tipped pass, and the new twist the last two weeks is getting almost every rebound. Although the ai tends to ease off in the last 45 seconds.

Edit - this seems largely not on point after dub’s post.

As dub pointed out, i don't think one thing is connected to the other.

Maybe there were people who thought they'd have to get the 2/3 losses to collect something and would do that thing of finding a match and disconnecting quickly and collect the 0 wins prize after 3 L, but you just need to go the tourney menu and give up there, without ever entering a match.

In days i didn't have time to play i did that menu-give-up thing to collect the 100+15k+15k rep from each open-entry tournament.

I've also matched with those people that would disconnect immediately once in a while, but didn't have trouble beating the AI in those matches.

yeah it’s not about beating the ai. That’s easy in pvp. It’s that you sign up to play a human being, and get stuck playing the equivalent of 2 full SD games time-wise instead of pvp.

The thing that super pisses me off is that a good portion of the time, after the opponent disconnects, within the last 45 seconds of the game I'll have connection issues and lose by forfeit. 99% of the time it happens ONLY after they have disconnected AND the match is almost over. Something is up
