Well, I don't pay much attention to it. Also, I'm stubborn in the way I play. I don't take a guaranteed shot every time just bc I know it's guaranteed, like a corner 3. Takes the fun out of it for me. I could definitely boost my scores if I was 100% invested in score only
Score is what makes LvL competitive the bigger score (and usually margin goes hand in hand with that) the more chance you help your league win so I try as hard as I can every time

But I have to balance it. I play hard and generally do better than most in my league. But I wouldn't be able to put the time into this game that I do and just play a mechanical/ forced quarter. I've gotta let it flow and enjoy it, even if that means not doing as well as I theoretically could. Just like in PVP where I've got 6 clutches in my lineup. Sometimes I'll just go and throw down a dunk instead if a guaranteed clutch, even if it means I miss the dunk and I'm 3 pts behind where I should be.

And my league is competitive, ranked 82. Probably one of the few if not only leagues ranked in the top 100 that doesn't use Line/etc and doesn't have a single requirement aside from playing daily quarters.

Not having those things hurt my league has been top 100 for 3 months I think peaking at 107 a proper chat helps a lot because you get to help your fellow league mates more accurately in all facets

I’m a huge fan of league chats. The in game chat is pretty worthless. We get to share tips, info on new promos, etc.. it adds collegiality to the game that is otherwise missing.

My rule in pvp is win the tip, Kawhi 3, and then all manual unless/until other guys takes a clutch, then I return the favor. Nothing is less fun than a clutch battle, one after the other from the tip to buzzer. Not unusual for me to take only 1 or 2 clutches in a 5 minute match. Also, too many of these guys spend too much time watching the youtubers with their breaking ankles moves in the paint. It’s fun to disillusion them with passing fast breaks off a missed basket, hitting the trailer or the wing and slamming it within 5 seconds, while they dick around trying to look cool for 20.

Win the tip? Wonder what that’s like.
