Can somebody please explain to me how this works? Players are constantly blocking wide open threes even though they are closer to the rim than they are to the guy they're defending

Depends on ovr of your opponent,depends on statistics of players,but mostly its all about EA logic,so listen to my advice dont get mad,if something repeats continuosly,close the game and start over...you cant do nothing about that mate...try to enjoy as much as you can this game altough there are moments that kills your desire to continue on( ask others about lvl

Do the back and forth move, it confuses your defender and more often than not he doesn't even jump.

Even worse is how they manage to defy the laws of physics and block the ball heading out of bounds but magically it's on the floor of the court?!
