Superstar shards + starpower

Does anyone know the amount of shards and starpower currently necessary at each level?

Here's what I've compiled so far...
78) shards: 15+15+15+30; starpower: 60+60+60+120 (on each of the 4x 78 levels to reach level 79)
79) 20+20+20+40; 70+70+70+140
80) ?
81) 40+40+40+80; 180+180+180+360
82) 45+45+45+90; 250+250+250+500
83) 45+45+45+90; 450+450+450+900
84) ?
85) 100+100+100+200; 900+900+900+1800
86) ?
... ?

Note: I assumed the 4th level to always cost double than the previous 3 since there seems to be a pattern here. If anyone has seen otherwise please let me know.

They reduced it. It did take 2000 + 1000 3 times to go to an 87(maybe an 86, not sure). Now it’s 1000 x 3 ... I think.

Yes I'm already asking for the reduced values.

Do you have any superstar 87 or above that you can check for the cost? Or are they all maxed out?

so hard even with reduced values. can't have these players so hard to grind while 89s and 90s are out.

and the answer is - they didn’t reducing a frigging thing. There is still the fourth hidden segment to max out an ovr and it still costs 2000 for that segment. So 5000 shards to complete one ovr. At this point, I may limit my SS players to Trae. Nothing special about the Zion, Doncic’s clutch at 100 seconds is outdated with tons of cards with 70 second clutch, Murray is good, but not good enough,Giannis and Davis are just good with Giannis having no real ability and AD’s abillty sketchy af, Morant is good but not that good and Embiid is pretty weak even maxed out at 88. Khawi is a solid sf with good shooting and defense.

so it’s Trea and maybe Kahwi. Other than that, nyet EA. Nyet

Is it safe to say everyone has given up on leveling Superstars, including EA. The cards out now leave the Superstars in the dust (pun intended). I can’t fathom spending even $125 nba cash for 25 shards and the 40 shards per day you get for free are meaningless.

is anyone still leveling these cards? I’ve stopped entirely. This is so bizarre since EA seemed to base the season around these cards, made them unavailable to f2p and priced them out of the reach of the vast majority of p2w, then made them irrelevant rather than restructure them.

I've picked one and I add the 40 every day... seems like a losing race but I have a hope something better will come of it.

I do feel quite tricked with the whole draft thing from last season. Between that and losing MM tokens and getting no response from my 2 support tickets I am done with P2P and will just enjoy the game F2P.

On a good note, I broke 10M coins today! Now if I only knew what to do with them... and the 110 packs (mostly pro, 20 prem & team) I have saved...

I did some leveling just yesterday! Thanks to my ultra present of 750 shards, I was finally able to level my AD up to an 83.

Oh, wait, my starter and bench players are 89 and 88...

So the "ultra" present was pretty much completely worthless. Good times.

Completely agree and it's such an easy fix. Just give everyone a new year's pack to even us out and guarantee a few max superstars and then revamp it where it's much easier to level up. Not rocket science. Stop adding new guys to level up unless you can build them in the time you can build monthly masters.

would be nice. And stop giving out randomly assigned shards. Make shards generic. Otherwise you’re just wasting my time EA.

i did some quick math based on the shards needed to level one ovr once you get to 87 and based on buying shards in the store - $25,000 NBA cash to level one superstar one ovr. $25,000 NBA CASH! This has to be one of the most ill-conceived ideas yet. The whole season was to be built around it.

green is the star power needed to level from 90 on. Probably 100 ovr, then the purple kicks in. It‘s all irrelevant to me at this point. And it’s clear EA has abandoned the Superstar as a meaningful part of this season. I play the power ranking events only so I can get points to play the main event. If they really wanted to fix it, they could make other leveled superstars usable to level another superstar And get rid of random shards, make it always a choice. At least then you could have one relevant superstar.

The only sliver of hope I have left is that once they open up Tier II ( 90 OVR -99 OVR) they reset the shard amounts for leveling. If they did that it would almost make it doable for people.

Does the new Express superstar set give a 95 straight off the bat? Or do they mean you can build it to 95?
