No AH until next week

It was a serious exploit with the 110 ovr players.

*cough* bots *cough*

You think they might actually be doing something about the damn bots? Man it was frustrating. At least 12 times I was able to open Shaq or Harden, and press BIN just to get that dreaded pop up. Many other times they were bought during a 1.5 second refresh. Human perception/reaction time is longer than that.

If they want to make it right, open the daily beats set for a second pick. The botters already have them. Restore that competitive balance EA Brian said was the reason for the long cool downs on sets. I’m not holding my breath, I’m writing a fantasy novel

So much for earlier reset..

This c&p season is terrible, just end it already and fire that ****tard Waggoner as a bonus for NBALM users before the start of S4.

It had to have been serious. Because the last 2 days before the shutdown...... There were far too many 110s showing up in the AH. Whereas prior to that you could refresh every drop and maybe see 1 an hour......I was seeing 1-2 cards every 10 mins.

Yeah. Last time I looked for 110s was for 10 minutes. Saw two Shaqs and a 110 Pierce.

That's why i believe that they shut it down because for every amount of cards issued, they have to pay licensing fees.
With the AH minting extra cards, they realized their liabilities would increase if anyone got a whiff of it.

Then it starts getting mentioned here and within hours the AH is shut down.

Could be just a coincidence or could be just EA doing EA things.
But seriously, EA hasn't shut down once to fix a bug that's affected the players negatively. It only makes sense they would shut it down if for once it negatively affected them.

Then again i could just be wrong and this is an overdue maintenance/patch of some other stupid issue we're not even aware of.

EA would go a long way in earning trust by actually communicating what the issues were.

Don't hold your breath, though
The AH is their Area 51. It doesn't even exist if you were to ask them..... They don't say squat about how it works

Got this a few moments ago. AH still closed.

I did have some bids out with a 24+ hour timer left on them so i guess those went through.

I’m getting more pissed about this as the weekend wears on. You don’t disable a big part of the game on a Friday, they don’t work weekends, and maybe it will be back up sometime Monday. That’s four days of missed opportunities to grab a 110 and buy 15 100s per day to get foam fingers for SD masters. You disable it when you are going to work on it. The. Maybe it’s down half a day. The Twitter feed on this is brutal.

I raid an article how these ea devs work brutal schedules, 12 hours a day, often 7 days a week. Sure.....

You do know that you get foam fingers as awards for playing showdown, right?

Why spend 1 million coins for those?

I have some platinum fingers to spare and never wasted a single player or coin to get them.

You can also get fingers from packs in store you can buy with rep points.
It's very rare in those. 1 in the last 10 packs over a 2 month period

He knows but he has tons of coins to spare and wants to be ready for when the 110 SD players come out

I have 24 foam fingers already. And still nearly 40mil coins I’ll never be able to spend (I’m anticipating a fairly low limit on carryover coins). That puts me one away from having enough fingers to fill all 5. I have 290 gold pennants and over 200 balls. Plus nearly 3 mil rep points to buy more packs. However, I’m fully expecting them to do something annoying like requiring 10 fingers per. That’s why I’m using the daily exchange set.

If bots work like manual sniping then how is it any faster? My biggest issue sniping is the AH refresh. I have a gigabit connection with pretty low latency and get the spinning circle of death more often than not. Then random “could not connect to the server” when it really hangs. Only advantage I see is unmanned time in the AH but they’re at the same mercy as everyone else on the refresh cycle.

They don't work like manual sniping in that you can set it to click the chosen area every 10 milliseconds if you choose. So when the round does drop, your BOT will click it 20 times before the average person sees the card, processes it in his brain, and clicks again to buy it.

Ok, but that only comes into play on a clean refresh. Like I said, the key to great sniping for me has been the clean refresh but lately, the AH has double refreshes on popular drops and the refresh itself takes seconds to complete.

There’s something that you can manipulate somewhat as a user, which is how I got my Harden. I like to call it a ‘perfect refresh’. If you know the drop time, for instance we’ll say it’s a the 1:6 minute mark around 30 seconds, there’s an instance a few seconds prior to the 30 second mark drop where if your refresh is timed correctly, you’ll see any hypothetical cards that would drop a second or two quicker than something like a bot or a manual refresher.

Sorry if that doesn’t make much sense. It’s hard to do but it works.

I’ve sat there knowing when card will drop, hitting refresh and the card appears sold. I’ve managed to open several and push bin only to get sold. Simple perception and reaction time is close to 1 second. With the second push it’s probably another second. Almost impossible to beat a bot that is clicking 50 times per second (20ms).

I get it but X020179 X020179 is hinting at your real problem. Those cards that come up already sold aren't necessarily from botters. I've been sniping since season 1 and it's definitely harder than it was then but there's still two main factors for me: 1) time invested and 2) AH refresh cycle. The first is completely controllable but the 2nd makes the first even worse. Either way, it still feels like a manual process is required before the bot can do its thing. Heopfully you can tell us how it goes once the AH is back up.
